Identifying video tape formats

The oldest video format is VHS this came out in 1977, or Super VHS this being better quality in 1987. Compact VHS or VHS-C a much smaller format which was introduced in 1982.
8mm Camcorder tape was introduced in 1984 as Standard 8 or video 8 next was Hi8 in 1989 and finally Digital 8 in 1999.
MiniDV started in 1995, Sony introduced DVCAM tape 1996 this being aimed at the semi-professional market.
MICROMV in 2001 this being the smallest and the last camcorder format.
Analogue formats of video tape are Std 8, Video 8 & Hi8.
Digital formats are Digital 8, MiniDV DVCAM
MICROMV tapes are encoded mpeg-2
There are two sizes of dvd's a regular size & a mini dvd this was primarily used in camcorders.
I can digitise all DVD's.
